emerged as a Visual Storyteller in all its many forms in 2005, in New York City, when she began interning for fashion companies while studying illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
In 2009, Carla relocated to San Francisco and worked as a Production Assistant for the California Academy of Sciences from 2011-2012. She helped to produce planetarium shows like, the Animal Attractions exhibit, and Science in Action videos. It was there that she loved creating and telling stories that helped explain ideas and complex subjects. This fueled the start of her animation studios, Ci Studios
Carla has been freelancing in many capacities including creating graphic novels, and kids books, storyboards, private commission portraiture, and teaching workshops and classes for kids and the general public alike. Her work was previously displayed at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2007 and 2009. As well as have her work displayed around San Francisco in 2010-2011.
